Heliografism is an exhibit of Cyanotype Sun Prints, produced over the course of 2023. Combined in these prints are sculpture, photography, and printmaking. Weir’s process begins with a drawing that then is transformed into a plaster cast sculpture, this process is repeated until he forms a scene of a variety of sculptures. This scene is then photographed, with the resulting images being digitally collaged together to create extended panoramas of the sculptural worlds created.
These panoramas are then transformed into the Cyanotypes seen in the exhibition.
